Four reports help you check what your team earned and what each job made: Commission Report, Payroll Summary, Time Clock Log and Gross Profit per Job. To see any of them, you need permission to view financial reports. By default that's Owners, Admins and Managers. If you don't have that permission, these reports won't appear in the list at all. Gross Profit per Job is also a Growth-plan feature (Growth and Pro).
Finding the reports
Click Reports in the sidebar, switch to Detail, and look in the left-hand list:
- Staff → Commission Report
- Staff → Payroll Summary
- Staff Admin → Time Clock Log
- Sales → Gross Profit per Job
The Period pills (or Custom) at the top set the date range. See Finding a report and setting the date range. Each of these four reports has a CSV button once there's data to export.
Commission Report
This report lists the commission entries you've recorded for each person. You record them on the team member's page: Settings → Team, click the person, then Record in their Commissions card.
- The three totals at the top are Commission Earned, Commission Paid and Commission Owed.
- The table shows Installer, Entries, Base (the amounts commission was worked out on), Earned, Paid and Unpaid.
- An entry counts as Paid once someone clicks Mark all paid on that person's team page. Until then it shows as Unpaid.
- Entries are dated by when they were recorded, not by the job date.
Numbers worked out on the Tech Pay screen in the mobile app don't show up here. Tech Pay only calculates and never saves anything. See Setting up Tech Pay commission rules.
Payroll Summary
This report puts each person's pay for the period on one line:
- Hours: time on the clock. Only shifts that have been clocked out count, and each shift is dated by when it was clocked in. A shift that's still open (for example, someone forgot to clock out) is left out until it's closed. See Fixing a forgotten or stranded clock-out.
- Wage: hours × the person's hourly rate, with your overtime and double-time rules applied. It's $0 for anyone without an hourly rate saved. See Overtime rules and PTO accrual.
- Commission: recorded commission entries in the period. This is the same source as the Commission Report.
- Tips: recorded tips in the period.
- Est. Pay: Wage + Commission + Tips. In the CSV this column is called Total.
- Logged Job Time: hands-on time tracked with the start/pause/stop timers on each job line item. It's only there so you can compare it with clocked Hours. It doesn't change anyone's pay.
The list is sorted by Est. Pay, highest first.
Time Clock Log
This report lists every clock-in in the date range, newest first. The totals at the top are Sessions, Hours Clocked and Break minutes. The table shows User, In, Out, Minutes, Break and Status.
- Unlike the Payroll Summary, this log also includes shifts that are still open. They show a Status of CLOCKED_IN or ON_BREAK, no Out time, and 0 minutes.
- Minutes is paid time with breaks already taken off.
- The table on screen shows the first 100 sessions. The CSV holds up to 500 and adds each person's email address.
Gross Profit per Job
This report shows what each completed job made after material costs. The totals at the top are Jobs, Revenue, Material COGS and Gross Profit (with the margin %). The table shows Date, Customer, Service, Revenue, Material COGS, Gross Profit and Margin.
- Revenue is the money actually collected on the job's invoice, minus any refunds. A completed job whose invoice hasn't been paid yet shows $0 revenue.
- Material COGS is the film used from tracked rolls (at that film's cost per foot) plus any inventory items used on the job.
- Labor, commission and tips are not taken off. This is gross profit after materials only.
- Jobs are dated by their scheduled start time.
When there's at least one job, an AI take panel under the totals can sum up the numbers that are already on screen. If your shop isn't on Growth or Pro, you'll see an upgrade prompt in place of this report.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Why doesn't the Commission Report match what the Tech Pay screen shows?
A: They use different sources. The Commission Report adds up commission entries recorded under Settings → Team. Tech Pay works out a figure from completed jobs and your commission rule, but never saves it.
Q: Why is someone's Wage $0 on the Payroll Summary?
A: They don't have an hourly rate saved. Add one under Settings → Team → the person → Edit role & pay.
Q: Why are some hours in the Time Clock Log missing from the Payroll Summary?
A: The Payroll Summary only counts shifts that have been clocked out. The Time Clock Log also lists open shifts. Close the open shift and its hours will show up in payroll.
Q: Does Gross Profit per Job include labor?
A: No. It's revenue collected minus material costs only: film used from tracked rolls plus inventory items used on the job.
Q: Why can't I see these reports in the list?
A: They need permission to view financial reports. By default that's Owners, Admins and Managers. Gross Profit per Job also needs the Growth or Pro plan.
