Two buttons in the top bar change how SalesThumb looks on your screen: the eye turns privacy mode on and off, and the sun or moon picks a light or dark theme.
Privacy mode
Turn privacy mode on when a customer can see your screen, for example at the counter or while you build a quote next to them.
- Click the eye button in the top bar. Its tooltip says "Privacy mode OFF — click to blur numbers, customer details and form fields on screen."
- With privacy mode on, customer names, phone numbers, emails, addresses and dollar amounts are blurred, and so is anything typed into a form field.
- To see one item, point at it or click it. A form field shows what's in it while you're typing in it and blurs again when you move to another field.
- Click the eye again to turn privacy mode off.
What it doesn't blur:
- Search and filter boxes, so you can still see what you're looking for.
- The Sales Matrix presentation screen, which is built to be shown to customers.
Privacy mode only changes what's shown on your screen. Customers still get their texts, emails and receipts as normal. Your choice is remembered in this browser, so it stays on after you reload the page.
Light, dark or system theme
- Click the sun or moon button in the top bar.
- Pick Light, Dark or System. System follows your computer or phone's own light or dark setting.
The theme only changes how SalesThumb looks for you. It doesn't change your shop's branding, booking page or anything customers see. For your shop's colors and logo, see Setting up shop branding and a custom booking domain.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Does privacy mode hide information from customers' texts or invoices?
A: No. It only blurs what's on your screen. Everything you send to customers is unchanged.
Q: How do I see a blurred phone number or total?
A: Point at it or click it. It shows while you hover and blurs again when you move away.
Q: Why isn't the search box blurred?
A: Search and filter boxes never blur, so you can see what you're typing to find a customer.
Q: Will privacy mode stay on if I reload the page?
A: Yes. It's remembered in this browser until you click the eye again.
