Team Hub on the mobile app is the same staff chat and task list your shop uses on the web, sized for a phone. Tap the round button at the bottom center to open the Go to panel, then tap Team Hub ("Channels, announcements, and tasks") under Team. Every role sees the tile; the channels inside depend on your role.
For how channels are set up and who can see each one, see Team Hub: channels, tasks, and pinned announcements.
The channel list
The Channels screen lists every channel you can open: Manager, Sales, Installer and Marketing, plus an HQ channel if your shop belongs to a multi-location organization and you have access to it. A number on the right of a row is your unread count, and the total shows under the heading as "unread".
If you see "No channels available for your role yet.", your role doesn't open any channel. Ask your owner to check your mobile access.
Reading and posting in a channel
- Tap a channel to open its thread. Opening it marks the channel read, so its unread badge clears.
- Type in the box at the bottom (it says Message # and the channel name).
- Tap the send button.
New messages show up on their own while the thread is open. The newest messages load first; tap Load older messages at the top to scroll further back. Messages can be up to 8,000 characters.
When someone posts in a shop channel, everyone else who can see that channel gets a push notification with the channel name and the start of the message. Messages in the shared HQ channel don't send a push.
Pinned announcements
Pinned messages show in an amber banner at the top of the thread, newest first, and each pinned message is marked Pinned in the thread. The banner shows up to two.
Owners, Admins and Managers see a small pin icon next to every message. Tap it to pin the message, tap it again to unpin, or tap the x next to a pinned message in the banner to take it down.
Team Tasks
Tap Tasks at the top right of the channel list to open Team Tasks. Use the chips to show Open, In progress, Done or All tasks. The list starts on Open.
Each row shows the task, who it's assigned to, its due date (in red once it's overdue) and the channel it came from, if any. Tap the channel name to jump to that channel.
Tap the round checkbox to move a task along: Open, then In progress, then Done. Tapping a done task opens it again. You can change the status of a task assigned to you. Changing anyone else's needs a manager-level permission.
Adding and assigning a task
If you can manage tasks, an add bar sits at the top of Team Tasks:
- Type the task in Add a task….
- Tap the person chip (it says Unassigned until you pick someone) to choose a team member.
- Optional: tap the sliders button to add a Description (optional)… and a Due date: None, Today, Tomorrow or Next week. A quick-pick date is due at the end of that day.
- Tap the + button.
The person you assign gets a push notification about the task, usually within about 15 minutes. You don't get one for a task you assign to yourself.
Tap any task to open its details: Description, Due date, Assignee and Channel. From there you can change the status, tap Reassign to pick someone else, or tap Open channel.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Why can't I see the Manager or Marketing channel on my phone?
A: Those two channels are only for Owners, Admins and Managers. Installer and sales staff see the Installer or Sales channel that matches their mobile access.
Q: Why is there no add bar on my Team Tasks screen?
A: Creating and assigning tasks takes a manager-level permission. Without it you can still see tasks and mark your own tasks in progress or done.
Q: Do I get a notification when someone posts in Team Hub?
A: Yes, for your shop's own channels. Everyone who can see the channel, except the person who posted, gets a push notification. Posts in the shared HQ channel don't send one.
