The mobile app has two screens for messages that send themselves. Automations is a page of on/off switches for your reminders, review requests, growth automations and Sales Playbook. Drip Campaigns lets you create a drip, add or delete its steps, and activate, pause or archive it. Both open from the round button at the bottom center: tap it to open the Go to panel, then look under Marketing.
Automations is for owners, admins and managers. Drip Campaigns needs the automations permission, which owners, admins and managers have unless you changed it.
Turn automatic messages on or off
Open Go to → Marketing → Automations. Each section is a card of switches:
- Customer messages: Booking confirmation, 24-hour reminder, 1-hour reminder, Ready for pickup and Post-service follow-up.
- Reviews: Auto review requests. When it's on, a Send delay stepper appears. Each tap moves it 6 hours, from 1 hour up to 168 hours (one week).
- Inspections: Text sign-off link automatically texts the customer the sign-off link when the inspection checklist is done. Turn it off to send the link yourself from the Sign-off tab.
Flip a switch and it saves right away. There's no Save button.
Growth automations and the Sales Playbook
The Growth automations card lists the win-back, cold-lead and review-request automations you already set up on the web, with how many messages each has sent and how many converted. You can switch each one on or off. To start a new one or edit its steps, use Growth on the web app. See Automating Win-Back and Cold Lead Follow-up.
Growth automations come with the Growth plan and up. On a lower plan, the card says they aren't in your current plan.
The Sales Playbook switch turns all post-invoice texts on or off at once. Below it you'll see Active, Due this week, Overdue and Reply rate, then the next plays coming up. On each play, tap Pause, Resume or Skip. A skipped message never sends, and you can't undo a skip. If any plays failed in the last hour, a red banner shows how many and the latest error.
Create a drip campaign on your phone
- Open Go to → Marketing → Drip Campaigns.
- If you have no drips yet, tap Seed starter templates to add 7 ready-made drips as drafts, or tap New campaign. Once you have drips, use the + button.
- Enter a Name and an optional Description.
- Pick a Trigger: Manual enroll, Status change (then choose the moment under Start when, like "A job is completed"), No-visit days (then choose 30 to 365 days under No visit for), or Segment add, which starts on "All customers".
- Pick a Purpose: Marketing or Customer care. Marketing texts only go to customers who agreed to marketing texts.
- Tap Create campaign. The campaign opens as a Draft.
Add steps and switch a drip on
On the campaign screen, tap Add step. Choose SMS or EMAIL, set Wait (days) (0 sends right away), add a Subject for email, and write the Body. You can use the merge tags {{firstName}} and {{shopName}}. Tap Add step to save it. Tap the trash icon on a step to delete it.
Activate stays grey until the drip has at least one step. On a live drip, Pause stops all sends. Customers stay enrolled and pick up where they left off when you activate it again. Archive retires the drip and takes every enrolled customer out of it.
Under Recent enrollments, tap Exit to take one customer out of the drip. To reorder steps, change a step's wording, or change the name or trigger, use Drip Campaigns on the web app. See Building a drip campaign: steps, triggers and enrollments.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I enroll a customer in a drip from the mobile app?
A: No. On your phone you can see who is enrolled and take someone out with Exit. To enroll a customer by hand, use Drip Campaigns on the web app.
Q: Why can't I tap Activate on my drip?
A: A drip needs at least one step before it can go live. Tap Add step, save a message, and Activate turns on.
Q: What happens to customers when I pause a drip?
A: They stay enrolled, but nothing sends while the drip is paused. When you activate it again, each customer picks up at their next step, and any message that came due during the pause sends right away.
