When one location repairs a warranty another location sold, the two shops record it as a network claim (see Honoring a warranty another location sold). The HQ Warranty Network page shows all of it, and who owes whom.
It's a record only. Nothing on this page pays anyone or changes royalties. Shops settle outside SalesThumb, and HQ records that they did. It's part of the HQ add-on.
Where to find it
In the HQ sidebar, click Warranty Network under Data.
HQ owners and admins can take action. Other HQ users can look. A franchise viewer only sees claims that involve their own shop.
The ledger
- Pick the dates under Repaired from and to.
- Tick Include settled to show claims that are already settled.
The totals show Claimed, Agreed, Outstanding and Settled. The Ledger by shop pair table has one row per paying shop and repairing shop, with how many claims, how many are To review or Disputed, and the amounts.
Click Export ledger CSV to download it.
The claims behind a pair
Click a row to see its claims: certificate, status, issue, repair date, amount claimed and amount agreed. Click Export claims CSV to download them.
HQ owners and admins can:
- Acknowledge a repaired claim for the selling shop. HQ agrees the repairing shop did the work for the amount claimed.
- Resolve a disputed claim. Set the Agreed amount ($), pick Who pays (Selling shop, HQ, or No one (goodwill)), and add a Note for both shops.
- Mark settled in bulk. Tick the claims, click Mark settled, add a note like a check number or transfer date, and confirm. This can't be undone.
Each action notifies the shops involved.
