The web sign-in page is headed Welcome back. It offers a few ways in. Use whichever one you set up. For the phone app, see Signing in to the mobile app.
Sign in with your password
- Type your Email and Password.
- Tick Remember my email if you want the email filled in next time. Only the email is saved, never the password.
- Click Sign in.
If you forgot your password, click Forgot password? next to the Password label. See Resetting your password.
If your account has two-factor sign-in turned on, SalesThumb asks for your code next. See Securing your account with 2FA.
Get a sign-in link by email
- Click Email me a sign-in link at the bottom of the form.
- Type your Email and click Email me a sign-in link again.
- Open the email and click the link.
The page says the link expires in 5 minutes. If the link is too old, the sign-in page says "That sign-in link is invalid or has expired. Request a new one below." Click Use password instead to go back to the password form.
Sign in with a passkey
If your browser supports passkeys, you see Sign in with Face ID / Touch ID / Windows Hello. Type your email first, then click it. To set one up, see Setting up and signing in with a passkey.
Google or Microsoft
When these are switched on, you see Continue with Google and Continue with Microsoft. Use the same Google or Microsoft account you signed up with.
If you see "An account with this email already exists. Sign in below with your password or a sign-in link, or try a different Google/Microsoft account.", your email already has a SalesThumb login that isn't linked to that Google or Microsoft account. Sign in with your password or a sign-in link instead.
A brand-new account made with Google or Microsoft is asked to agree to the Terms first. See Agreeing to the Terms when you sign in.
Messages you might see
- "You were signed out because the app wasn't used for a while. Sign in again to keep going." Your shop signs out idle staff after a set time. Sign in again.
- "Please verify your email before signing in." Your password was right, but your email isn't verified yet. SalesThumb just sent a new verification link. Open it, then sign in.
- "Your email is verified. Sign in to continue." You came from a verification link. Sign in as normal.
- "Network error — check your connection and try again." Your device lost its connection. Check your internet and try again.
Signing in to accept an invite
If you opened a team invite link first, the page is headed Sign in to accept instead. See Accepting a team or HQ invitation.
