The Power Dialer lets franchise development reps call through a ranked queue of prospects one at a time. Validation Calls is where you pair a serious prospect with a current franchisee (a "validator") and track how those calls go. Both are part of the org-level +CRM/Franchise Sales add-on ($799/mo).
Switch into your org's Franchise Sales workspace from the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar. Power Dialer is under Engagement, and Validation Calls is under Compliance & docs.
How the dialer queue is built
The Queue on the right holds up to 25 prospects, ranked by rating (Hot first, then Warm, then Cold) and by how many days since they were last contacted. A prospect only joins the queue if they have a phone number, aren't converted, aren't rated Dead and aren't on your do-not-call list.
The header shows Calls today, VM dropped and Connect rate.
Placing a call
- The first time you dial, you'll be asked to Add your phone before dialing. Enter your number in Your phone in +1 format (for example +14155551234) and click Save. It's remembered in that browser.
- Click the round phone button. Your own phone rings first, then the prospect is connected to you.
- While the call is on, the panel shows On call with a timer. Mute and speaker are on your own phone. The page never carries the call audio.
- Type in Call notes, or tap Dictate to talk (where your browser supports it).
- End the call with a result: the red button (End call · Connected), No answer, Busy, Wrong number or DNC.
The call is saved to the prospect's timeline with your notes and their last-contacted date is updated. The queue then moves to the next prospect. Wrong number and DNC also set the prospect to Dead, and DNC adds them to your org's do-not-call list. You can't switch prospects until the current call is ended or given a result.
Calls the system won't place
- Calls are only placed between 8am and 8pm in the prospect's local time.
- A prospect gets at most 3 sales calls or marketing texts from your org in any 24 hours.
- You can only have one active call at a time.
- Do-not-call prospects are blocked.
If a call is refused, an error message explains why. If the phone system couldn't place the call, you'll see "Call not placed" and a note that your phone will not ring. You can then retry or pick a result.
Keyboard shortcuts and AI help
C (connected), N (no answer), B (busy) and S (next) work during a call. Press ? for the Keyboard shortcuts list, where you can also turn them off. Wrong number, DNC and voicemail drop are click-only on purpose.
A pre-call brief loads for each prospect, and Extract details with AI pulls the outcome, next step and objections out of your notes. Nothing is saved until you click a result button. See Using the AI Franchise Sales Copilot.
Voicemail drop is turned off. The page explains that it plays a recorded message, which telemarketing rules only allow with the prospect's written consent.
The Analytics section below the queue shows call outcomes by rep for Today, 7 days, 30 days or a Custom range.
Adding validators
Validators are current franchisees willing to take prospect calls. Org owners and admins manage the roster on the Validator roster tab:
- Click Add validator.
- Enter Full name (required) plus email, shop name, city, state, vertical and a short bio.
- Click Add validator.
Add an email so the validator gets call notifications. Validators without one show No email — won't get call notifications. Use the pencil button to edit, and Mark unavailable to take someone off the rotation (they show On break). Intro template opens an email draft introducing the validator.
Scheduling a validation call
- Click Schedule call at the top, or Match prospect on a validator's card.
- Pick the Prospect, Validator and Scheduled time. The time is required, so agree it with the validator first.
- Optionally add an Internal note. It stays with your team and isn't sent to anyone.
- Click Schedule call.
When the time is in the future, the validator and the prospect are each emailed the details (if they have an email on file) and reminded a day ahead.
Completing a validation call
On the Scheduled calls tab, Complete and No-show unlock once the scheduled time arrives. Cancel works any time.
- Click Complete.
- Give a Rating from 1 to 5 stars and add Notes from the call.
- Click Mark complete.
A rating of 4 or 5 counts as positive and moves the prospect to the next pipeline stage. A 3 is mixed and a 1 or 2 is negative. In both those cases the prospect stays where they are.
Recent matches lists every validation call with its status and result. The top cards show active validators, calls scheduled this week, calls completed in the last 30 days and Avg conversion (the share of completed calls rated 4 or 5).
Frequently asked questions
Q: Why isn't a prospect showing in my dialer queue?
A: The queue only includes prospects with a phone number who aren't converted, rated Dead or on your do-not-call list, and it shows the top 25 by rating and time since last contact.
Q: Why are No answer and Busy greyed out?
A: The result buttons unlock once you've started a call for that prospect. Click the phone button first.
Q: Can I drop a pre-recorded voicemail?
A: No. Voicemail drop is turned off because it plays a recorded message, which telemarketing rules only allow with the prospect's written consent. Call live instead.
Q: What happens when I rate a validation call 4 or 5 stars?
A: It's recorded as positive and the prospect is moved to the next stage of your pipeline automatically.
Q: Why can't I add or edit validators?
A: Adding, editing and marking validators available or unavailable is limited to org owners and admins. Other members can still schedule and complete calls unless they're read-only.
