Franchise Sales gives every org a public "Become a franchisee" form that drops new inquiries straight into your franchise pipeline. You style it on the Embed form page, place it on your website, and can push new-lead events to Zapier or Slack from Integrations. Franchise Sales is the org-level +CRM/Franchise Sales add-on ($799/mo). If the add-on is off, the public form stops loading and stops accepting leads.
To get there, open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar, pick your org under Franchise Sales, and look under Growth for Embed form and Integrations. This is a different tool from the shop-level forms in Creating embeddable lead-capture forms, which create shop customers rather than franchise prospects.
Styling the form
On Embed form, the top strip shows Embed views, Submissions, Conversion (submissions divided by views) and Fields enabled. Views count every load of the public form page, however the visitor got there.
Under Configure:
- Form title (defaults to "Become a franchisee").
- Theme: Light, Dark or Auto (follows the visitor's device).
- Accent color: pick a color or type a hex code.
- Fields shown: First name, Last name and Email are always on. Switch Phone, Company, Territory interest, ZIP code, Investment budget and Message on or off.
The Live preview is an approximation; the real form picks up your site's fonts. Click Save changes when you're done. Only org owners and admins can save.
Putting the form on your website
Pick one of the two snippets and click its Copy button:
- Embed script: builds the form directly on your page so it matches your site's font and spacing. Your title, theme, accent color and field choices are written into the snippet itself, so copy it again after you change them.
- Iframe (no-JS fallback): works on any site, including plain static hosts. It loads your hosted form page, which uses your saved settings.
Both send leads to the same place. Any custom field you marked On lead form on the Custom fields page is added as an extra question. If you mark one of those Required, it's only enforced when the visitor actually saw it.
What the visitor fills in
The hosted form asks for name and email, any fields you turned on, How did you hear about us? (required), and your custom questions. When a phone field is shown, there's an optional, unticked box to agree to text messages. After submitting, the visitor sees Thanks for applying! with a fixed "What happens next" list. That page and its benefit badges aren't editable, so check they suit your brand.
What happens to a new lead
- Duplicates: if the email already belongs to a prospect in your pipeline, no new record is created. The resubmission is logged on the existing prospect and only fills in custom answers that were blank.
- Stage: new leads go into your first open pipeline stage.
- Rating: set from the budget range picked. $150k–$200k and above come in Hot, $50k–$150k Warm, and under $50k or no answer Cold.
- Lead source: taken from "How did you hear about us?".
- Assignment: follows Default routing in Franchise Sales Settings (round-robin, weighted, by routing zone, or manual only).
- Notes: a note with the visitor's message is logged on the prospect.
- Alerts: the assigned rep gets an email if Notify rep on assignment is on, and the lead is enrolled in a sequence if you picked one for that lead source under Lead sources & SLA timers.
Connecting Zapier or Slack
The Integrations page has five cards. Two are live:
- Zapier: paste your Zapier webhook URL. New prospects, stage changes, a rating going hot and FDD deliveries are sent to your Zap.
- Slack: paste a Slack Incoming-webhook URL and optional Default channel. Hot-lead alerts and FDD compliance pings post to that channel. A daily activity digest is planned but not built.
Click Connect, fill in the fields and click Save manual config. A connected card shows Connected and when the credentials were saved, with options to update or disconnect. Salesforce, HubSpot and Make are marked coming soon and don't connect or sync anything yet. Only org owners and admins can manage integrations; other members see "Only org admins can manage integrations".
Frequently asked questions
Q: I changed the form color but my website still shows the old one. Why?
A: If you used the Embed script, your settings are written into the snippet when you copy it. Save your changes, then copy the script again and replace it on your site. The iframe version picks up saved changes on its own.
Q: What happens if the same person fills in the form twice?
A: No duplicate is created. If the email matches an existing prospect, the new submission is logged on that prospect's timeline and only fills in custom answers that were empty. It isn't re-routed, and the rep isn't emailed again.
Q: How is a new lead's rating decided?
A: From the investment budget range they pick: $150k–$200k and higher is Hot, $50k–$150k is Warm, and under $50k or no answer is Cold. Reps can change it afterward.
Q: Do Salesforce, HubSpot or Make sync with Franchise Sales?
A: Not yet. Those cards are marked coming soon and don't take credentials or move data. Zapier and Slack are the two working integrations today.
Q: Who can change the form or connect integrations?
A: Only org owners and admins can save form settings and manage integrations.
