The HQ Onboarding page tracks every newly awarded franchisee through the 90 days from signing the franchise agreement to grand opening. HQ can see who's on track, who's behind, and which milestone each franchisee is on. It's part of the HQ add-on. Anyone with HQ access can view it, but only HQ owners and admins can check off milestones.
Getting there
Switch to your HQ view, then click Onboarding under Franchise Ops in the HQ sidebar.
Where franchisees come from
You don't add franchisees on this page. When a prospect is converted in Franchise Sales, they show up here automatically, with their 90-day count starting from the day they were converted. The page shows anyone converted in the last 365 days. See Using the Franchise Sales CRM for how prospects move through the pipeline.
If the page is empty, you'll see "No franchisees in onboarding yet." If you can only see Franchise Sales prospects assigned to you, a notice at the top says so, and the page only shows your own converted prospects.
The 90-day milestone template
Open the Milestones template tab to see the standard plan every awarded franchisee follows:
- FA signed — Day 0
- Site selection started — Day 7
- Training enrollment — Day 14
- Lease signed — Day 21
- Build-out kickoff — Day 30
- Mid-build review — Day 45
- Hiring complete — Day 60
- Soft opening — Day 75
- Grand opening — Day 90
Reading the summary
Four tiles across the top show:
- In flight — active onboardings (everyone not yet completed)
- On track — franchisees hitting their milestones
- At risk — franchisees behind schedule
- Completed (12 mo) — franchisees with every milestone checked off
Following a franchisee
The Active tab has one card per franchisee who's still onboarding. The Completed tab holds the ones who've finished. Each card shows:
- the franchisee's name and a status badge: ON TRACK, AT RISK, or COMPLETED
- their territory and the date they were awarded
- Day — how many days they are into the 90
- an Onboarding progress bar, and the Current milestone they're on
Status comes from the milestones you've actually checked off. A franchisee is AT RISK when today is past the target day of the next milestone they haven't finished. For example, someone on day 25 who hasn't finished Lease signed (Day 21) is at risk. Once every milestone is checked off, they move to COMPLETED and onto the Completed tab.
Checking off milestones
- On a franchisee's card, click Mark milestones.
- The checklist opens with all nine milestones and their target days.
- Click the circle next to a milestone to mark it complete. It gets a check mark and is crossed out.
- Made a mistake, or a milestone turned out not to be done? Click the circle again to reopen it.
- Click Hide checklist when you're done.
The status badge, progress bar, and summary tiles update right away. You can check milestones off in any order. The progress bar follows the furthest milestone completed. Each change is also logged as a note on the franchisee's record in Franchise Sales.
If the circles are greyed out, your HQ role isn't owner or admin. Hovering shows "Only org owners/admins can update milestones."
