When you click Settings → Payments → Connect your payout account, you're handed off to a secure onboarding flow to verify your business. Until that's done, Settings → Payments shows "Application in review" — sometimes with an extra status word or phrase from the payment processor next to it — and a Resume onboarding button so you can pick back up if you didn't finish in one sitting.
Why it's not always instant
If you already have an account with our payment processor from a previous business, reconnecting can be close to instant. A brand-new application usually takes a few minutes to kick off, but can sit in review longer depending on your business details — this is normal underwriting, not a SalesThumb delay.
If it's been a while
The status text next to "Application in review" comes straight from the processor and can include a request for more information — a document, a clarification on your business type, or a banking detail that didn't verify automatically. Read that text carefully; it usually tells you exactly what's needed. If it's unclear, email info@roffik.com and we'll find out what's actually being asked for rather than you guessing.
Once you're approved
The page switches to "✓ Payments connected" and card payments go live immediately — no separate "activation" step required on your end.
