Owners can have SalesThumb sign employees out when they stop using the app. This helps when staff share a counter computer or walk away from a screen that is still signed in.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings → Team & Permissions.
- Find the Auto sign-out for employees card.
- Pick a time from the dropdown.
It saves right away. The card says "Signs employees out of SalesThumb after this long with no activity. They get a one-minute warning first. Owners are never signed out."
The choices are Off (the default), After 5 minutes, After 10 minutes, After 15 minutes, After 30 minutes, After 1 hour, After 2 hours, After 4 hours and After 8 hours. Pick Off to turn it off again.
Only owners and admins see the card. HQ members working in your shop can't change it.
What employees see
Clicks, typing, scrolling and taps all count as activity. Activity in any SalesThumb tab in the same browser counts, so a tab left open on the calendar won't sign someone out while they work in another tab.
One minute before the time runs out, a Still there? window opens. It says how long your shop allows and counts down the seconds. Clicking Stay signed in (or closing the window) starts the clock again.
If nobody responds, SalesThumb signs them out and opens the sign-in page. It says "You were signed out because the app wasn't used for a while. Sign in again to keep going."
Who is never signed out
- Owners and admins.
- HQ members working in your shop.
This setting is for SalesThumb in a web browser.
