A Sales Matrix presentation is the full-screen, customer-facing walkthrough you run on the showroom TV with the customer at the table. You pick services together, the price builds as you go, and the customer signs at the end. Sales Matrix is part of the Growth plan and up. To start one, see Starting a Sales Matrix presentation.
The steps, in order
The progress strip at the top shows where you are. The full order is:
- Welcome: pick the customer and vehicle.
- Visualizer: only if your shop has it turned on.
- Window Tint
- Ceramic Coating
- Paint Protection
- Flat Glass
- Additional Services: your shop's own service categories, if you've added any.
- Checkout: review the build and finish up.
Each screen's main button names the next step, like Continue to Ceramic Coating. Steps your shop hasn't set up, or has turned off, are skipped automatically, so the button always names the screen you'll actually land on. You can continue without picking anything to skip a category. To go back to an earlier step, tap its pill in the progress strip.
Welcome: customer and vehicle
Search with Find a customer — name, phone, or email, or take a Walk-in customer and type their details. Then pick their vehicle or tap Add vehicle to enter year, make and model (or a VIN or plate). The screen also asks How did you hear about us?
If the customer already has another presentation open on a different screen, you'll see a warning to check the launcher's Resume rail first.
Window Tint
How this screen works depends on how your shop prices tint:
- Priced per window: tap a window on the car picture to choose a tier for that window, or use Apply to all windows on a tier card. Clear all resets the picks.
- Priced as packages by vehicle type: pick the vehicle type, then a film tier, then the coverage (Sides & Back or Front Two Only) plus extras like the windshield or sunroof.
Customizing windows on a package
On the package screen, tap Customize windows for odd jobs: a different shade on one window, rear doors only, or quarter glass alone. Each window gets its own row where you pick the tier and the shade. Tap Back to packages to return to the regular coverage choices.
Ceramic, Paint Protection, Flat Glass and Additional Services
Each of these screens works the same way: pick the package or options the customer wants, then tap the Continue to… button. The running total updates as you add items.
Checkout
The Checkout screen lists everything in the build with a Subtotal, any Bundle savings, and the Estimated total. Sales tax is added at checkout.
From here you can:
- Remove an item (confirm with Remove item).
- Add a discount on a line. A reason is required. If you don't have permission to discount, a manager can approve it with their Manager PIN.
- Add a warranty upgrade under Add a warranty?, if your shop turned on Sell a warranty upgrade at checkout in the Sales Matrix settings.
- Let the customer tap Text me this quote and enter their phone number to get the quote by text.
Then finish with one of two buttons:
- Save as quote: saves the build as a quote for follow-up. No invoice yet.
- Create invoice: turns the build into an invoice so you can take payment.
The customer's signature
When you tap Create invoice, a Customer signature required window opens. Hand the tablet to the customer. It shows what they're agreeing to: the line items, the total, the deposit (when there is one) and your shop's estimate terms. The customer draws their signature, types their Printed name, and taps Confirm & accept quote.
After that, SalesThumb creates the invoice and takes you to the invoice page, where you record the payment.
If your shop turned off Commit creates Quote (not Invoice) in the Sales Matrix settings, Create invoice builds the invoice directly without making a quote first. Either way, payment is taken on the invoice page.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Why did the presentation skip a category?
A: Steps your shop hasn't set up, or has turned off, are skipped automatically unless you've already added items to them. Tap a pill in the progress strip to go back to a step on purpose.
Q: How do I give one window a different shade on a tint package?
A: On the package Window Tint screen, tap Customize windows. Each window gets its own row for the tier and shade. Tap Back to packages to return.
Q: Does the customer sign on the TV?
A: Yes. When you tap Create invoice, a signature window opens with the line items, total, deposit and your estimate terms. The customer signs, types their printed name, and taps Confirm & accept quote.
Q: Where do I take payment?
A: On the invoice page. After the customer signs, SalesThumb creates the invoice and takes you there to record the payment.
Q: Which plan includes Sales Matrix?
A: Sales Matrix presentations are part of the Growth plan and up.
