Watch: How to mark a quote approved or declined yourself in SalesThumb (0:47)
Not every customer taps the quote link. When they give you an answer on the phone or at the counter, record it on the quote so your pipeline and follow-ups stay accurate.
Mark a quote approved
- Open the quote from your quotes list.
- Click the ⋯ menu and choose Mark Approved, then confirm.
The quote is approved right away and the main button changes to Convert to Invoice. If the customer has already viewed the quote, there's an Approve button at the top instead.
Decline a quote
- Open the quote.
- In the same ⋯ menu, click Decline.
- SalesThumb asks you to confirm. Click Decline quote.
Once declined, the customer can no longer approve that quote, and declining can't be undone. If they change their mind later, duplicate the quote and send the new one.
When these options appear
Approve and decline show up once a quote has been sent or viewed. A draft has to be sent first. Marking a quote approved and converting it need the "record payments" permission, which Owners and Admins have by default; anyone on the team can decline a quote.
On your phone, see Marking a quote approved or declined from your phone.
