Disputes in the mobile app is the manager's view of chargebacks and refund requests. You can see which ones need a response and when the evidence is due, then update the case from your phone. The case itself works as described in What to do when a customer disputes a charge.
To open it, tap the round thumb button at the bottom of the screen, then Disputes under Reports. It's for Owners, Admins and Managers. Anyone else sees "Disputes are manager-only."
The list
The strip at the top shows how many disputes are open, how many are submitted, and your win rate (a dash when there's nothing to measure yet). Filter by All, Needs response, Gathering, Ready to submit, Submitted, Won or Lost.
Each card says Chargeback or Refund request, then shows the status, customer, invoice number, reason and amount. Until evidence has gone out, the corner shows a deadline: Due in 3 days, Due tomorrow, Due today or OVERDUE. After that it shows when the dispute was opened.
Inside a dispute
Tap a card to open it. The top shows the status, the amount, when it was opened and the evidence deadline. Below are the customer's reason, any outcome and internal notes, a View invoice button, and a Timeline of everything that happened, with who did it.
A row of four buttons runs across the top.
Status
Tap Status and pick from Needs response, Gathering, Ready to submit, Submitted, Won, Lost, Accepted or Withdrawn. The current one is marked Current.
For Won, Lost, Accepted and Withdrawn you can add Outcome notes (optional). Tap Change Status and confirm. The app says this records the outcome.
Two limits apply. Once a dispute is Won or Lost, other statuses are no longer offered. And when your card processor reported the chargeback, Won and Lost aren't offered because the processor decides those.
Assign
Tap Assign, pick a teammate (or the option to remove the current assignee), and confirm.
Note
Tap Note, type up to 250 characters and tap Add note. It shows in the timeline with your name and the time.
Evidence
Tap Evidence for the checklist: Signed quote, Invoice, Signed waivers, Appointment history, Job photos, Message thread, Warranty records, Inspection reports and Audit log. Tick what to include, add Cover notes (optional), and tap Save checklist.
The phone has no file picker. Add extra files on the web. Files already attached there are kept when you save the checklist.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Why can't I find Disputes in my menu?
A: It's a manager screen. Only Owners, Admins and Managers see it.
Q: Why can't I pick Won or Lost?
A: When your card processor reported the chargeback, it decides those outcomes, so the app doesn't offer them. They also aren't offered once a dispute is already Won or Lost.
Q: Can I upload evidence files from my phone?
A: No. The mobile checklist only chooses what to include and saves cover notes. Upload files on the web.
Q: What does the OVERDUE label mean?
A: The evidence deadline has passed and the dispute hasn't been marked Submitted yet.
