The National Marketing Fund page shows a franchise location what HQ is running with the fund and what your shop has paid into it. It's read-only, and you can't change anything here. It's only available to shops that belong to an HQ organization on the +HQ add-on. For any other shop, the page shows a message explaining that the marketing fund is an HQ/franchise feature.
Getting there
Go to Settings, find the Franchise & HQ section and click National Marketing Fund. That section only shows if your shop belongs to an HQ organization. You can also get here from the Marketing Fund Claims page, using the link near the top that asks "Looking for national campaigns or your contribution rate?"
Anyone on your team can open the page. The Your contribution history card needs permission to view financial reports, which roles like technician and front desk don't have by default.
Your contribution rate
This card shows the share of revenue your shop pays into the fund as a percentage. Next to it you'll see either:
- org default rate: the rate HQ set for the whole network, or
- shop-specific rate: a rate HQ set just for your shop, which replaces the network rate.
If HQ hasn't set a rate yet, you'll see "No marketing fund rate is configured for your shop yet." Only HQ can change the rate. It's part of HQ's royalty setup.
Active and completed campaigns
The Active & completed campaigns card lists the national campaigns HQ has run with the fund, newest first. Each one shows:
- The campaign name
- Its status: ACTIVE or COMPLETED
- The channel: Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Linear TV, Radio, Print, Out of home or Other
- The start and end dates, or "ongoing" if there's no end date yet
Campaigns HQ is still planning or has paused don't appear here. Budgets, spend and results also aren't shown on this page, so ask HQ if you'd like those numbers.
Your contribution history
The Your contribution history card shows what your shop actually paid into the fund. There's one row for each billed royalty period, newest first, going back up to 24 periods. Each row shows:
- The period name and its start and end dates
- The marketing fund amount for that period
- The status of that period's royalty statement, such as GENERATED, SENT, PAID, PARTIAL, DISPUTED, WAIVED or WRITTEN_OFF
Your marketing fund contribution is billed on the same royalty statement as your royalty. If you haven't had a royalty statement yet, the card says "No billed periods yet — contributions appear here once HQ generates your first royalty statement." For the full statement, including royalty, fees and payments, see Reading your shop's Royalties Paid report.
If you see "You don't have permission to view contribution history," ask your shop owner. The rate and campaign cards still work for you.
Claiming back local marketing spend
At the bottom of the page, the Need reimbursement for local marketing spend? Submit a claim link takes you to Marketing Fund Claims. Use it when your shop paid for something local and wants HQ to reimburse it. See Marketing Fund Claims — submitting and approving reimbursements.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I change my marketing fund rate on this page?
A: No. The page is read-only. The rate comes from HQ's royalty setup, either the network rate or one set just for your shop.
Q: Why can't I see my contribution history?
A: That card needs permission to view financial reports, which some roles don't have by default. Everyone can still see the rate and the campaign list.
Q: Why doesn't this page show how much HQ spent on each campaign?
A: Locations see each campaign's name, channel, status and dates. Budget and spend figures are only shown to HQ.
Q: Why is my contribution history empty?
A: Contributions are billed on royalty statements. The history fills in once HQ generates your shop's first royalty statement.
Q: What's the difference between this page and Marketing Fund Claims?
A: This page shows what your shop pays into the national fund and what HQ runs with it. Marketing Fund Claims is where you ask HQ to reimburse local marketing your shop already paid for.
