Customers ask "how dark can I go?" all day. The free tint law checker answers it on your own website: the visitor picks a state and sees the legal tint limits for the windshield, front sides, back sides and rear window. You don't need a SalesThumb account to use it.
Get the code
- Go to salesthumb.com/tint-law-widget.
- Under State (optional), pick your state, or leave it on Visitor picks a state so anyone can look up any state.
- Under Colours, pick Light or Dark to match your site.
- Click Copy embed code. The preview on the right shows exactly what your visitors will see.
Add it to your website
Paste the code anywhere your website builder lets you add HTML. In WordPress that's a Custom HTML block. In Wix it's Embed code. In Squarespace it's a Code block. Save and publish the page.
The code has two parts: the checker itself, and a small "Tint law checker by SalesThumb" line under it. Please keep that line; it's how the checker stays free.
Keeping it accurate
The numbers come from SalesThumb's state tint law pages, which are checked against each state's statute. When a state changes its law, the checker updates on its own. You don't have to touch the code again.
The checker is general reference, not legal advice. It says so at the bottom, and it tells visitors to confirm their state's current rules.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Does the tint law checker cost anything?
A: No. It's free for any website, and you don't need a SalesThumb account.
Q: Will it stay up to date when a state changes its law?
A: Yes. The checker loads the current numbers from SalesThumb each time, so your page updates without you changing the code.
Q: Can I show only my state?
A: Yes. Pick your state under State (optional) before you copy the code, and the checker opens on that state.
