SalesThumb connects payments so each shop has its own payout account and gets paid directly. We never hold your funds.
Setup (~3 minutes)
1. In SalesThumb, go to Settings → Payments → Connect your payout account. 2. You'll be sent to the secure onboarding flow. Sign in to your existing payout account, OR create one if you don't have it. 3. You'll be asked for business info (legal name, address, tax ID). New accounts: ~5 minutes; existing accounts: instant. 4. Approve the connection. You'll be redirected back to SalesThumb. 5. You're done — payments are live.
What unlocks once connected
- Public booking page can capture deposits at booking time.
- Quotes can include a "Pay deposit" checkout link.
- Invoices can include a "Pay now" link (card).
- Pay from their phone — the customer-facing pay link works from the customer's own phone, no card reader required.
- Refunds + partial refunds initiated from SalesThumb.
Tips for new payout accounts
- Bank account must be verified (2 small deposits) before you can withdraw — usually 2-3 business days.
- Deposit timing follows SalesThumb's standard payments schedule — SalesThumb doesn't add its own hold or delay on top, and there's no self-serve daily/weekly toggle inside SalesThumb today. Check Reports → Deposits for exact timing on a given charge.
- Processing fees — your all-in rate (interchange, assessments, processor markup, and SalesThumb's cut bundled into one number) is shown in full before you connect. It comes out before you're paid.
- Card is the online option today — ACH/bank transfer as a self-serve online checkout method is listed in Settings → Payments as planned but isn't live yet. Cash, check, and ACH payments a customer pays you directly are all recorded manually.
Why each shop owns its account
We connect payments this way because: 1. Your money goes directly to your account — not through SalesThumb. 2. You retain full dashboard access for refunds, disputes, payouts. 3. If you ever leave SalesThumb, your payout account stays with you intact.
If you have multiple shops under one parent payout account, each shop still gets its own connection inside SalesThumb. They share the parent account and its deposit schedule.
