Watch: How to compare this year to last year in SalesThumb (0:46)
The Year-over-Year report answers a simple question: are you doing better than this time last year?
Open the report
- In the sidebar, click Reports, then switch to Detail.
- Across the top, pick the period you want to compare, for example the last 30 days.
- In the list on the left, under Financial, click Year-over-Year.
Read this year vs last year
- This Year Revenue is what you collected during the period you picked.
- Last Year Revenue is the same dates, one year earlier (365 days back).
- Change shows the difference as a percent, with the dollar amount underneath.
Revenue here is completed payments, so it reflects money actually collected in each period.
Try other periods
Pick another range, like the last 7 days or year to date, and the comparison updates right away. A seasonal business should compare the same months rather than the most recent weeks.
Who can see it: Owners, Admins and Managers, by default.
