The Compliance page is the location's side of an HQ brand-standards audit. Your own team walks the same checklist HQ uses, records a result for each item, attaches photo evidence, and signs off as the location. HQ signs off separately on their side. The page only appears for shops that belong to a franchise or multi-location organization.
This article covers the location's side. For how HQ schedules and scores audits, see Scheduling and running a brand-standards audit.
Finding the page
In the sidebar, open Insights & setup and click Compliance. The link shows for Owners, Admins, and Managers, and only when your shop belongs to an HQ organization. Other teammates can still open the page from a link someone shares, or from a corrective-action reminder email. If your shop has no HQ organization, the page says Not part of a multi-location organization.
The page has two tabs: My audits and Corrective actions.
Picking a visit
- Open the My audits tab.
- Use the Visit dropdown to choose a scheduled or completed visit. Each one shows the checklist name and the visit date.
- The checklist loads below, one card per item.
If the list is empty, you'll see No compliance audits yet. HQ schedules audits on its own timetable, and new ones show up here once they're booked for your shop.
If you pick a visit and see "No saved template matches", HQ has no saved checklist under that name any more, so there's nothing to walk. Ask HQ to check the audit.
Recording a result for each item
Each item card shows the item and any help text HQ added. For each one:
- Type a note in Note (optional) if you want to explain the result.
- If you're failing the item, you can pick a due date in the date field next to the note.
- Click Pass, Fail, or N/A. The result saves right away.
Once saved, the card shows a badge with the result and a line like "Checked by [name] · 2h ago".
To add a photo, click Attach evidence photo on the item. You can also drag a photo onto the card. On a phone or tablet it opens the camera. If the item already has a result, the photo saves to it straight away, so you don't have to click Pass or Fail again. Click Replace evidence photo to swap it.
Any teammate at your shop can record results. You don't need to be the owner.
What happens when an item fails
Marking an item Fail automatically adds it to the corrective-action list. If you picked a due date, that date is used. If you didn't, the due date is set 14 days out. Saving the same item as Fail again doesn't create a second action.
Changing a failed item to Pass or N/A from your side updates the checklist, but it does not close the corrective action. HQ closes it. HQ sees your new result on the checklist as proof the fix was made.
Signing off as the location
The Sign-off card at the top shows two boxes: Location sign-off and HQ sign-off. Each shows "Signed by [name] on [date]" or "Not yet signed".
- Make sure every item has a result. Until then the button stays greyed out and a note says "Every checklist item needs a result before you can sign off."
- Click Sign off as Location.
Only an Owner, Admin, or Manager at the shop can sign off. Once the location signs, your results are locked. If you need to change one after that, ask HQ to reopen the audit. After signing, the button reads Re-sign as Location.
Tracking corrective actions
The Corrective actions tab lists every corrective action for your shop. Each card shows:
- The checklist item that failed
- A status badge: OPEN, IN PROGRESS, OVERDUE, or RESOLVED
- The due date
- The note from when it failed, in quotes
- "Resolved:" followed by HQ's note, once it's closed
An action shows OVERDUE as soon as its due date passes and it hasn't been resolved. This tab is view-only. Assigning, rescheduling, and resolving actions are all done by HQ.
If HQ assigns an action to you, you'll get an email. Once it's past due, you'll get a reminder the day after the due date and then once a week until it's resolved. The email links back to this page.
If the list is empty, you'll see No corrective actions.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Who at my shop can record checklist results?
A: Anyone on your shop's team can mark items Pass, Fail, or N/A and attach evidence photos. Signing off as the location needs an Owner, Admin, or Manager.
Q: Can I close a corrective action myself after fixing it?
A: No. The Corrective actions tab is view-only for the location. Re-checking the item as Pass updates the checklist so HQ can see the fix, but HQ resolves the action.
Q: What due date does a failed item get if I don't pick one?
A: It's set 14 days from when the item was failed. If you pick a date in the item's date field before clicking Fail, that date is used instead.
Q: I signed off and now need to change a result. What do I do?
A: Once the location signs off, its results are locked. Ask HQ to reopen the audit, then record the new result.
Q: Why don't I see the Compliance link in my sidebar?
A: It only shows for Owners, Admins, and Managers, and only at shops that belong to an HQ or franchise organization. A standalone shop has no audits to walk.
