Editing a flat glass building

Open a building from the Buildings list to fix its name, address, type, access method, glass type, size or site notes.

2 min read

A building is the record you quote flat glass work against. If you typed something wrong when you added it, you can fix it on the web. To add a building, see The Flat Glass module.

Open the building

  1. Open the Flat Glass dashboard and click Buildings at the top.
  2. Click the building's row.

The page shows the building's name and "Fix the address, size or access details for this building." If the year built is on file, it shows here too.

Change the details

Under Building details you can change:

  • Building name and Address, plus a second address line for a suite or floor
  • City, State and ZIP
  • Building type and Access method
  • Existing glass (you can leave it as "Not specified")
  • Floors, Glass sqft and Window count
  • Site notes (optional), for parking, access or a contact at the site

Anything you can't measure yet can be filled in later. Click Save changes. You see "Building updated."

Save changes stays grey until you change something. If a value isn't allowed, a message under the form says why. For example, "State must be a 2-letter code."

What you can't change here

The customer and the year built can't be edited on this page.
