Settings is the hub for everything about how your shop runs — services, pricing, team, payments, integrations, and account-level admin all live behind tiles on this one page. You'll get here from the sidebar: open the Insights & setup group and click Settings (it sits right below Reports). The page itself lives at `/app/settings`.
The three groups
Tiles are sorted into three sections, each with its own short blurb so you know what you're looking at:
- Essential — "The critical path — set these up to take quotes and get paid." This is Services, Installers & Bays, Online Booking, Sales Matrix Catalog, Shop Profile, Payments, and Sales Tax.
- Advanced — "Optional tools that deepen the product as you grow." Everything from Packages and Pricing Rules to AI Assistant, Notifications, Appearance, Integrations, and more.
- Admin — "Account, team, and audit." Team & Permissions, Plans & Billing, Audit & activity, API Keys, and Data Export.
A group disappears entirely if none of its tiles match your current search, so don't be surprised if "Admin" vanishes while you're typing — it'll come back once you clear the search box.
The setup checklist only shows up while you're incomplete
If your shop hasn't finished the basics yet, a progress card appears near the top of the page tracking four steps in order: Add your services → Add installers & bays → Turn on online booking → Connect payments. It shows a percentage, a progress bar, and a checklist you can click through directly. Once all four are done, this card stops rendering entirely — that's intentional, not a bug. If you're looking for it later and can't find it, it means your setup is complete, not that something broke.
Status badges only apply to four tiles
Only the four tiles tied to that same checklist — Services, Installers & Bays, Online Booking, and Payments — show a live "configured" (green check) or "setup needed" (amber warning, "0 items") badge in the corner. Every other tile, including other Essential-group tiles like Shop Profile and Sales Tax, never shows a badge no matter how much you've filled in. Don't read a missing badge on those as "not set up" — it just means that tile doesn't have a live status indicator built for it.
Search, and one role-gated tile to know about
A search box above the tiles filters by title or description as you type (case-insensitive), and if nothing matches you'll see a plain "No settings match…" message instead of an empty page. One tile worth flagging: Customize Menu ("Hide features you don't use. Keep it simple.") is only visible to Owners, Admins, and Managers — a Technician logging in won't see it at all, which is expected, not a permissions error. It's worth knowing what it does before you use it: it hides sidebar nav items shop-wide for your whole team, not just for the person who toggled it.
An occasional card at the very top
If another organization has requested to link your shop into their org (an HQ-side "claim a standalone shop" action), you'll see a card above everything else on this page asking you to accept or decline. Accepting shares your shop's data with that org's admins and lets them manage it from HQ; the same card notes you can leave the organization later from Locations settings. Most shops will never see this card — it only renders when a request is actually pending.
