Pushing film products to every location from HQ

Use the Film Catalog tab to see which film brands and products each shop carries, and add the missing ones to every location in one step.

The Film Catalog tab lets HQ standardize the films your shops carry. You see each film as one card, how many shops have it, and you can add it to the shops that don't. It's part of the HQ add-on.

Where to find it

In the HQ sidebar, click Service Sync under Admin. At the top of the page, click the Film Catalog tab. The other tabs are Services, Sales Matrix and Inventory. This tab is headed Film Catalog Sync.

Read a card

Each card is one film, shown as brand and product name. It shows:

  • The film type (Ceramic, Carbon, Dyed, Metallic, PPF, Vinyl or Other), and the VLT % and series if the film has them.
  • The cost per foot. If shops pay different amounts, you see a range.
  • A Coverage bar, such as 3/5 shops, with an Incomplete or Synced badge.
  • Up to two shops that are still Missing it, then "+N more".

A film counts as the same product when the brand, product name, film type and VLT all match. Capital letters don't matter. The same brand and name at two different VLT percentages show as two cards.

Use the film type tabs (All, Ceramic, Carbon, Dyed, Metallic, PPF, Vinyl, Other) and the Search brand or product... box to narrow the list.

Push one film to the shops that are missing it

On a card that isn't fully covered, click Push to N shops. The push starts right away, with no confirm step. The film is created in the shops that don't have it. Its warranty years and cost per foot are filled in from what your other shops already use, taking the middle value. A shop that never stocked the brand gets the brand added too.

Push a brand-new film

  1. Click Push New Product.
  2. Pick a Film Type.
  3. Fill in Brand and Product Name. These two are required.
  4. Optional: Series, VLT %, Warranty Years (the box says "Lifetime if blank") and Cost per Foot ($).
  5. Click Push to N shops.

You see a message saying how many shops it was pushed to. If every shop already had it, the message says "Already covers every shop, nothing to push."

What a push does and doesn't do

  • It only fills gaps. A shop that already carries the film keeps its own cost, warranty and stock untouched.
  • It is a one-time push. There is no edit or remove here, and nothing stays linked afterward. Each shop can change its own film catalog.
  • Stock counts and rolls are never pushed.

Who can push

HQ Owners and Admins. Other HQ members can look at the tab, and see a view-only note instead of the push buttons.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Will a push change the cost a shop already has for a film?

A: No. A push only adds the film to shops that don't have it. Shops that already carry it are skipped.

Q: Why do I see the same film twice?

A: A film is matched on brand, product name, film type and VLT. If two shops use a different VLT or film type for it, they show as separate cards.

Q: Can I edit or remove a film I pushed?

A: Not from this tab. Each shop manages its own film catalog after the push.

Q: Who can use the Push buttons?

A: HQ Owners and Admins. Other HQ members see the tab read-only.
