Reading the DVI Completion and Deferred Work reports

DVI Completion shows how often your team does pre- and post-job inspections and gets them signed. Deferred Work lists every item flagged as an Issue.

A digital vehicle inspection (DVI) is the checklist your team fills in before and after a job. These two reports show whether inspections are getting done and what they turn up.

To see them you need the View financial reports permission. Owners, Admins and Managers have it by default.

Open the reports

  1. In the sidebar, click Reports, then switch to Detail.
  2. Pick your date range across the top.
  3. Under Operations, click DVI Completion or Deferred Work.

DVI Completion

  • Completed Appointments: appointments marked completed that were scheduled in the range.
  • Pre-DVIs: before-job inspections done in the range, with coverage as a share of completed appointments.
  • Post-DVIs: the same for after-job inspections.
  • Signed: inspections the customer signed, as a share of all pre and post inspections.

Coverage compares two separate counts, so an inspection done for a job that isn't completed yet still counts.

Deferred Work

This report counts every checklist item marked Issue on inspections done in the range. You see Open Issues, Inspections, a table of issues by label, and up to 50 recent flagged items with their notes and date.

It counts what was flagged. It doesn't check whether the customer later booked the work, so use it as a list of follow-up leads.

The Draft Win-Back Texts button opens the Deferred work tab of the AI re-engagement tools. See AI re-engagement.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What counts as deferred work?

A: Any inspection checklist item marked Issue on an inspection done in your date range.

Q: Does Deferred Work drop an issue once the customer books the repair?

A: No. The report lists every flagged item in the range. It doesn't check later bookings, so treat it as a list of leads to follow up on.

Q: How do I raise the Signed percentage?

A: Ask for the customer's sign-off on every inspection. See Doing a pre/post inspection and getting the customer's sign-off.
