What customers see on their warranty certificate page

The public page behind the certificate QR code: the warranty status, the details shown, repair history, and the forms customers use to file a claim or ask for a transfer.

3 min read

Every warranty has a public page. Customers reach it from the QR code or link on their certificate. Anyone with the certificate number can open it. It shows your shop's name and logo at the top. For what's printed on the PDF, see What's on a SalesThumb warranty certificate today.

The status

A banner at the top shows one of these:

  • Verified & active: "Warranty is valid", with the expiry date and time remaining, or Lifetime coverage.
  • Expired: "Warranty period has ended".
  • Claim on file: "A claim is on file".
  • Transferred: "Warranty was transferred".
  • Voided: "Warranty is voided".

If the number is wrong, the page says Certificate not found and asks the customer to check their paperwork or contact the shop.

The details

The page lists the Certificate #, the Registered date, the Film, the Coverage and the Installer. It shows the vehicle and the registered name. The full name is hidden for privacy. Your shop's contact details and website link are shown too.

If another location in your network has done a warranty repair on this certificate, a Repair history card lists the date, the shop and the issue.

Filing a claim

The customer clicks File a warranty claim. They fill in Your name, an optional email and phone, an Issue type (Bubbling, Peeling, Discoloration, Scratch, Delamination or Other) and a description of at least 10 characters. Then they click Submit claim.

The page says Claim filed and that the claim is in the shop's claims queue. Your shop is notified. See Filing and working a warranty claim.

Asking for a transfer

On an active warranty with a transferable tier, customers can ask to move it to the buyer of their vehicle. You approve or reject each request. See Transferring a warranty to a new vehicle owner.
