You're walking a territory with a prospective franchisee, or you just wrapped a discovery call in the parking lot before your next meeting, and you want to check where a deal actually stands — the rating, the budget, what's already been logged — without pulling out a laptop. The mobile app has a screen for exactly that: Franchise Pipeline.
One thing up front, same as every other mobile article in this KB: the native iOS and Android apps are still in late-stage beta with no public App Store or Play Store listing yet. Everything below describes what the screen does once you have a build installed — see Mobile app access: what's set up today for where that stands.
What this screen is (and isn't)
Franchise Pipeline is a read-mostly companion to the desktop Franchise Sales CRM, not a smaller copy of it. It's built for one job: let a manager glance at where prospects sit and get the details on one of them, from a phone, in the field. It deliberately does not carry over the Kanban board, drag-and-drop stage changes, or the CRM's Sequences, Workflows, Validation Calls, Meetings, or Custom Fields — those stay on the web app. For the full editable CRM, see Using the Franchise Sales CRM.
Getting to it
Tap the round thumb button at the bottom of the app to open the Go to panel, then tap Franchise Pipeline. It's one of the manager-only tiles in that panel, alongside things like Reports, Inventory, HQ Pulse, and Royalty — so it only shows up for a shop role of Owner, Admin, or Manager. If you don't have one of those roles, you'll see a "Manager access needed" screen instead of the pipeline.
Seeing the tile isn't the same as having real data behind it. The screen also needs your shop to belong to an HQ franchise or chain organization, and that org needs access to the franchise sales pipeline. Two messages tell you which gap you're hitting:
- "Franchise Pipeline is for HQ orgs" — your shop isn't part of a franchise or chain org at all. This screen has nothing to show.
- "The franchise sales pipeline isn't available for your account. Ask your HQ admin to add you as an org member." — your shop is part of an HQ org, but something about your access to it is missing: you haven't been added as a member of that org, the org doesn't have the CRM/Franchise Sales add-on (a separate $799/month add-on from HQ's own $599/month), or an admin has restricted your access to this specific module. All three land on the same message, so if you hit it, the fastest fix is asking your HQ admin what's missing rather than guessing.
The prospect list
Once it loads, you get a search box at the top — it matches name, company, and email, not phone number — and below it, your org's pipeline stages as sections, each with a colored dot, the stage label, and a count. Pull down to refresh.
Each prospect card shows their name, company (if one's on file), a rating badge (Cold, Warm, Hot, or Dead), and their investment budget if one's set. Empty stages don't get a section at all — you only see stages that currently have someone in them. If nothing matches your search, or the pipeline is genuinely empty, the screen says so plainly rather than showing a blank list.
Opening a prospect
Tap a card and you land on that prospect's detail screen — fully read-only, no edit controls anywhere. What's there:
- Name, company, and rating badge at the top
- Stat cards for Budget, Odds (deal odds as a percentage), and Target close date — each one only appears if that field is actually set on the prospect
- Territory interest, if noted
- Phone and email, each tappable — phone opens your dialer, email opens your mail app
- Notes, if any exist on the prospect
- Open tasks and Completed tasks, listed separately — an overdue open task shows its due date in red
- Activity, a timeline of what's been logged: calls, emails, meetings, documents sent or signed, stage changes, and completed tasks, each with a timestamp
There's no way to add a note, log a call, complete a task, or change the prospect's stage from this screen. It's built to answer "what's the status and what's already happened," not to let you act on it — for anything that changes the record, you're going back to the desktop CRM.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I add a new franchise prospect or log a call from my phone?
A: No. Franchise Pipeline is read-only — creating prospects, logging calls or notes, completing tasks, and moving prospects between stages all require the desktop Franchise Sales CRM.
Q: Why don't I see Franchise Pipeline anywhere in the mobile app?
A: It's a manager-only tile in the Go to panel (tap the thumb button at the bottom of the app), which means you need an Owner, Admin, or Manager shop role to see it at all.
Q: I can see the Franchise Pipeline tile but it says I don't have access. What's wrong?
A: The tile shows for any manager regardless of your org's setup. The screen itself needs your shop to be part of an HQ franchise/chain org with the CRM/Franchise Sales add-on active and your account added as a member of that org — ask your HQ admin which of those is missing.
Q: Does the search box on the prospect list search phone numbers?
A: No — it matches on first name, last name, company, and email only, not phone number.
Q: Can I drag a prospect to a different stage from my phone?
A: No. Kanban drag-and-drop for changing stages is web-only. The mobile screen groups prospects into read-only stage sections.
