Every SalesThumb plan includes an AI allowance of AI credits, counted over a rolling 30 days, that all of your shop's AI features share. 1 AI credit is 1 cent of real AI cost (the Pro plan includes 2,000 credits per 30 days), and each AI reply uses only what it really costs, usually a small fraction of a credit, so credits are not a count of replies. The AI credits card on this page shows how many are left, how many are used, and how many live AI calls your shop made in the last 30 days. AI Booster is prepaid AI credit that SalesThumb support can add to your shop on top of it. You can see your balance from Settings → AI Assistant (the note under the page title links to it), or directly at /app/settings/ai-booster. You can't buy credit online yet: you pay SalesThumb, and support adds it to your account.
What credit does and doesn't do
- It is used only after your allowance. While your allowance has room, your credit isn't touched.
- It never expires. A pack adds a one-time amount with no reset date, and it stays on your balance until it is used.
- It isn't a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing is charged again, and nothing tops up on its own. When it is gone, you ask for another pack.
- It does not keep your AI receptionist answering. Texts, email, social messages, website chat and phone calls don't use credit. When your allowance is used up, the receptionist stops until older use ages out of the 30 days or you move to a plan with a bigger allowance. AI Help also stops at your allowance, with or without credit, and writing help (Fix spelling and Improve) pauses a little earlier, to leave room for the receptionist.
- It covers some staff AI tools. After your allowance is used up, credit keeps tools such as the daily briefs running while it lasts.
- It never unlocks a feature your plan doesn't include. That needs a plan upgrade. And if SalesThumb ever pauses AI platform-wide, credit can't override that.
What happens when you hit your allowance
An AI tool shows a note that you've used your AI allowance for the last 30 days, with a See plans link and the support email for questions. The AI receptionist shows no such note. Instead, the status line on a conversation in your Inbox says "Your shop has used its AI allowance for the last 30 days." with a See plans link. Either way, the allowance frees up as older use ages out of the 30 days, or when you move to a plan with a bigger allowance.
Your balance
The top of the page shows how much credit remains, out of how much has been added to your shop, with a usage bar and a percent-used readout. There is no reset date, because credit doesn't reset.
Getting credit
Below the balance, three packs (Small, Medium and Large Booster) are listed for reference, each with a one-time price and the amount of AI credit it adds (sales tax may apply). There is no online checkout. To get a pack, email hello@salesthumb.com. Once your payment is received, SalesThumb support adds the credit to your shop.
