Some announcements need more than a read receipt, like a policy change or a safety notice. Require acknowledgement asks everyone the announcement goes to to press "I've read and understood", and shows HQ who has and who hasn't.
Send one
- In the HQ sidebar, click Announcements under Franchise Ops.
- Click New announcement and write it as usual.
- Tick Require acknowledgement.
- Optional: tick Show a banner in the app until acknowledged.
- Optional: set Acknowledge by.
- Click Publish (or Schedule if you set a time).
You can also turn these on when you edit an announcement.
What locations see
In HQ Connect → Announcements, the post has an I've read and understood button. If you set a date, it says "Please acknowledge by" that date, or "Was due" once it's passed.
With the banner on, a banner across the top of the app says "HQ asks you to acknowledge:" and the title, with a Review & acknowledge link. It stays until they acknowledge. It turns red once the due date has passed.
See who has acknowledged
On HQ's Announcements page, the post shows how many people have acknowledged. Click that button to open Acknowledgements: a count by location and a list of who has and who is still Pending. A franchise viewer only sees their own location.
Send reminders
HQ owners and admins can email reminders from the same panel:
- Nudge everyone pending reminds everyone who hasn't acknowledged.
- Nudge next to a location reminds just that location.
Each person gets at most one reminder per 24 hours. After an acknowledge-by date passes, SalesThumb also sends a daily reminder email, for up to 30 days.
